Trauma and abuse can make a significant impact in a person life causing conscious and subconscious trouble throughout a person’s entire life and when left unattended can debilitate an individual’s ability to maintain healthy interpersonal and intimate relationships. Depending on the type of trauma, individuals often sabotage, put up walls, push people away and are unable to make attachments to others. Abuse survivors can suffer from depression, anxiety, fear, anger and isolation.
I treat clients suffering from abuse and trauma from a holistic viewpoint focusing on the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of the individual. I work with clients on the root of the problem not just the symptoms. I work towards a deeper healing where the client can find freedom from hurt, shame, guilt, and fear. The client can begin to develop close interpersonal relationships with others and find clarity in their identity and confidence to be themselves.
